Today my blog story is one year old. When I think of writing this story I never think that so many people will want to read my words. Because usually no one cares about the life of a house maid. Because for some people she is just a thing that people is having in their life to do work.
I want people to understand that maid is also a person. That she is thinking and has feelings. and she miss her home and her family so much. But she has to leave home to support her family. I hope my blog makes people realise all these things. and that it does not matter how you speak. It does not matter how poor you are. It does not matter how educated you are. If you have something important to say you must say it. And people will read. people will listen.
So I want to say thank you. For reading. And for listening to Sallys heart.
Happy Birthday to me.

Thank you Sally. Because of you, I understand many things better about my own housemaid.
Happy bday!
"Sally",I love your blog. As Anon said above, it helps me understand my own housemaid so much better. I find it so interesting that you chose to write about the maid and take up the cause of the OFW, even though you are not from Philippines or a maid yourself.Kudos for bringing to light issues that happen every day, and for doing it in this fun way. Congrats on the success of the blog and on your first birthday.
congratulations! because of u, many people will now understand what a housemaid really is. that housemaids are not robot, when the boss needs something from them, they just push a button so the maid will do the chore. maids are not mere slaves, maids can be one's friend too.
keep it up Sally :D

hii sally i just red your stories actually while am looking for ahouse maid and i hope that people give some respect to the maids and appreciate the hard work they doing...
Thank you. I am happy that when people read this story they are able to understand the life of a housemaid. That is why I am writing this blog.
Well, I thougth at first that this was quiet a nice blog.
U made me laught a lot...so I started reading all your posts from the beggining just to find out that you are a miserable and jealous person.
Nothing is never good enought for you.
U always have to compare your situation with our maam's one. You don't really feel gifted you work for this family. U keep on complaining for everything.
Sorry but if you are a mais, you are a maid...don't expect too much, They give you lots of consideration so don't push it !
One day U may be working for another employer or back home and regret your housemais statue !!!
From now on, when I grow up, I will never hire a maid, cuz otherwise she might hack my computer and use my washing machine! :)
But thank you for putting things into perspective without any stereotypes or anything.
